We do not know of any compromised Steam accounts, so we are not planning to force a change of Steam account passwords (which are separate from forum passwords). However, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to change that as well, especially if it is the same as your Steam forum account password.

We will reopen the forums as soon as we can.

W skrócie, ktoś się włamał na forum steama. I mógł wykraść hasła i loginy (to zrobił na pewno), a także informacje o kontach steamowych powiązanych z forum (tego NIEWIADOMO). Jako, że kilka kont forumowych zostało już przejętych to sprawa jest raczej poważna.
Mogły też wyciec informacje o kartach płatniczych, powiązaniu z konkretnymi kontami, e-maile itp itd.

Więc moja rada to zmiana haseł dla świętego spokoju na konto w steamie.

Gabe się zwykle nie patyczkuje zbytnio i śle sprawę do FBI, więc jest jakaś tam szansa, że ich złapał, ale ja jakoś w to nie wierzę.

Czyli mam rozumieć, że poszkodowani są najbardziej Ci, którzy mieli konto forumowe na steamie? Ale dla pewności lepiej zmienić też hasło na samym koncie Steam?

Dobrze, że na początku listopada skończyła mi się ważność karty zarejestrowanej na steamie. Mogę spać spokojnie. :)

Tak, tyle że nie za bardzo wiadomo jak poważny jest wyciek, a w takich sytuacjach nigdy nie wiadomo. Ja płacę przez Paypala, więc też jestem raczej spokojny.

Uff , Dobrze , że nie rejstrowałem konta na Forum. a tak btw , jak myślicie , będzie jakaś rekompensata ze strony Steam : ) ?
